Project Prompt: Sociology is more than an academic subject—it’s a tool for ministry. Jesus observed the social realities of His time, challenged cultural norms, and ministered with understanding of the people around Him. As future ministry leaders, missionaries, educators, and counselors, you will constantly engage with society’s values, institutions, and struggles.

For this creative project, you will develop a 10-slide presentation that applies key sociological concepts to real-world ministry issues. You’ll use Scripture and ministry insight to analyze how Christians can influence, transform, and lead within today’s culture.

Slide 2: What Is Sociology?

• Define sociology in your own words

The Grading Rubric for this assignment is as follows:

• Creativity (25%) – Is the project graphically appealing, and does it catch the viewer’s attention?
• Correctness (25%) – Are all words spelled correctly and free from grammatical issues?
• Content – (50%) – Does the message conveyed in the project reflect the project prompt? Remember: Content matters most!
