Discussion Board Initial Post – Sam Atwell
The study of theology connects in real life because knowing God and His word is fundamental to the life of all believers. The more I study the Bible the more I will understand who God is, understanding what His will is for my life, and it will keep me in line with what His will is for my life.
The second way it connects in real life is that theology helps me become a better teacher, leader, believer. It challenges me to have an understanding of what I believe and being able to explain to unbelievers what I believe and why I believe it. For too long I was afraid to tackle theology, I believed I wasn’t smart enough and received what I needed from behind the pulpit. So thankful that I now have a deep hunger to know more about God on a daily basis.
