I agree with your thoughts. For the past 14 years I was a Children’s and Student Ministries Leader and in the last few years I noticed in my high school students that they had no idea why they believed what they believed. Most of them had grown up in church and heard the Bible stories, but couldn’t explain why. It disturbed me and caused me to look inward and realize I didn’t put a high priority on theology. I had to repent for letting those students and their parents down. God has given me a deep desire to learn more about Him every day to become a better believer, but a better husband, father, believer and leader.
