Discussion Board Initial Post – Scott Brown
First, our perspective of life will change as we learn more about God. We start seeing the bigger picture and will become more humble and more willing to show love to those we feel don’t deserve it, among many other things. Our hearts determine the course of our lives because our hearts are behind each of our decisions. Meaning that Theology also determines the course of our lives.
Secondly, Theology changes how we live. Knowledge ultimately becomes application. So instead of being bound by what is popular, we choose what will please the Father. We learn how to take care of ourselves properly such as avoiding laziness. We choose relationships that are pleasing to the Father such as our choice of friends and spouse. The amazing thing is that even though we do this for the Father, it ends up benefiting ourselves greatly. We don’t have to look back at our lives with regret or shame like those who live for themselves. I believe that Theology, when done properly, will affect every aspect of our lives in some way.
