Naomi,

Thank you for your post. I like your two points. I agree
with you that theology affects our character. What we think is
directly linked to what we do, so if our minds are fixed on Christ,
our actions will become more like Him. Our worldview also becomes
more aligned with God’s perspective. This means that we think more
like how He thinks. We understand the things around us correctly and
are less influenced by the fallen world around us.

I also agree
with you that theology gives our lives meaning. Ultimately, we were
created by God and for God, and the more we know Him, the more we
appreciate our own purpose in living. It is interesting to me that
those who don’t know God are blinded even to the wondrous design of
creation itself, while those who do know Him can find joy even during
persecution and suffering.
