Theology can be defined as the study of God or God’s word. It is important to our real life today because we were made in the image of God. How can we know how our lives should be lived without knowing the one we were made to be like? By studying theology, we can get a deep and biblical understanding of our lives, the world around us, and how we are to respond to it. The second reason it is important to today is because we are called to make disciples of all nations. How can we make disciples of Christ if we do not know the truths of the Word? In order to give someone the hope and truth that changes lives, we must first understand it biblical and not just through our emotions.
