Hey Cody, great thoughts. Firstly your point on Gods character directs how we live is spot on. It helps us to see why are called to live a certain way as Christians. We are called to love because He is love, care for the needy because He cares for the needy, and so on. Seeing all the love and character of God in the Old Testament has really given me a desire to live righteously. Also, another solid point, our theology of man changes how we see them. By seeing them as made in the image of God, it should compel us to treat them as Jesus would. This theology tears down walls of discrimination based on race, class, intelligence or anything.
